FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We know bringing home a new furry family member is a big decision, and we're here to help! Below are some of the most common questions we get from adopters. Don’t see your question here? Reach out — we’re happy to chat!
1. 🌍 Do you allow people from out of state to adopt an ARC Pet?
Yes! We welcome out-of-state adopters — as long as you’re able to attend the scheduled meet-and-greet on time.
🐕 If for any reason the pet must return to ARC, it is the adopter’s responsibility to safely transport them back into our care.
2. 🏡 What if I can’t keep my ARC Pet?
We understand that life happens.
📜 Per our adoption contract, pets may only be rehomed through ARC. Ownership reverts back to our organization in these cases, and we must be informed and give consent.
💸 Please note: adoption fees are non-refundable and will be considered a donation to support our rescue efforts.
3. 🐶 Where do the pets come from?
ARC pets come from many different walks of life — but all share one thing in common: the need for love and a fresh start.
Some have been:
-
Rescued from unsafe or neglectful environments
-
Surrendered by owners facing hardship
-
Pulled from online listings lacking safety protocols
✨ Many need medical or behavioral care before they’re ready for their forever homes — and your support makes their healing journey possible.
4. 💰 What are your adoption fees?
Adoption fees vary depending on each pet’s needs, but all fees go directly toward our mission — helping more animals in need.
Fees may support:
-
Pets requiring urgent medical attention
-
Older animals with lower adoption interest
-
Essential supplies like food, vaccines, and rehabilitation care
Your contribution not only helps your new best friend — it helps us care for the next one, too. ❤️
